North American Power Credit Organization (NAPCO)

NAPCO is a forum for credit and risk professionals to network and provide education relating to current credit issues in the energy industry (whether it be power, natural gas, petroleum or other energy commodities).  Founded by a small group of energy credit professionals in 1997, NAPCO is a member-run organization that has provided its members a positive environment to learn and network since its inception. 

The organization holds meetings in various cities across North America that are designed to contain a membership meeting, educational content, and networking component spread over two days.  A group dinner is held to allow members a chance to further network in a fun and relaxed setting.  All meetings are open to both members and non-members.

NAPCO membership is open to all companies that transact in the energy markets or provide credit support functions. NAPCO membership is company-based, making it an extremely affordable option for a company's training, development and networking plan.


NAPCO's Mission

NAPCO's main objectives in helping its members are to provide Education and Networking to its member companies.  

Education....Each meeting has a sizeable educational component meant to enhance the professional development of group members.  NAPCO meetings are intended to provide attendees with the highest quality educational programs with dynamic speakers and relevant industry topics!  In addition, each meeting qualifies for up to 10.5 CPE credits. NAPCO is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE sponsors. 

Networking....NAPCO’s membership base consists of investor owned utilities, municipalities, government agencies, wholesale energy traders, merchant energy companies, law firms, and various credit-support vendors/affiliates from across the U.S. and Canada.  Our smaller group size provides you and your staff an opportunity to truly connect with industry peers and to make lasting professional connections.  This results in tangible working relationships among your counterparties and colleagues.

Affordability....our extremley affordable membership is company-wide, covering all your staff (not just one employee) and covers the entire fiscal year (encompassing three meetings).  This represents a significant savings for your company/department budget.
